171 artworks from 37 schools were selected and displayed from March 17 to April 12, 2025 — each one a personal view of the beauty and character of our community.

The theme

The 2025 theme was a chance for young artists to show their personal view and celebrate the beauty and character of our community through art.

Results

Thank you to all the young artists who shared their creativity with our community, and congratulations to every participant and winner.

Award ceremony

Gold, Silver, Bronze and Judge’s Awards were presented on stage with cash prizes, rosette ribbons and gifts.

Honorable Mention and Outstanding Young Artist Awards — ribbons and City certificates — were handed out at the exhibition area between 12:00 PM and 1:00 PM.

How entering worked

The 2025 submission steps, kept for reference.

  1. Step 1: Get to know the theme

    The Charm of Our City — yesterday, today and tomorrow.

  2. Step 2: Prepare the artwork

    Oil, watercolor, pastel, acrylic, spray, ink wash, encaustic, digital art, sculpture and pottery were all accepted.

    Paintings smaller than 18″ × 24″ were framed for free; larger works came framed, mounted or on canvas.

    Sculptures and fragile pieces were submitted as photos or video first.

  3. Step 3: Photograph or scan it

    A high-resolution JPEG or PNG with good lighting.

  4. Step 4: Write an essay or make a short film

    Up to 500 words, or up to 3 minutes hosted on YouTube or Vimeo — the interpretation of the theme, the inspiration, the artistic journey.

  5. Step 5: Complete the submission form and upload the image

    File name with the artist’s full name and the artwork title, for example JaneDoe_HarmonyInNature.jpeg.

  6. Step 6: Package, label and drop off before January 31, 2025
